Beautiful poem, just know you're not alone. For the empaths of the world, navigating what we have in the past 10 years is a lot. Looking forward to you sharing your crafts made with muddy hands if that's something you feel comfortable in sharing. You are not alone!

I can also relate. And this gives me comfort. And gratitude that you are the person you are, in spite of all my mommy worries about you through the years. Life is adventure and pain and love. All of which are vulnerable. I couldn’t be more proud or grateful to call you daughter. 💕 Thanks for sharing this.

You are so truly beautiful, Torri. This note is so tenderly real. It is your courage to love so deeply and fully that creates the soil for worry to grow. But you continue to love, to care, to fully engage in life even when it has so often been unpredictable and unkind. You are amazing to me that way. You are my example and hero that way. You carry Grandma’s heart in you so beautifully that way.

Keep loving. (You will, whether I say that or not!) And when you worry, be reminded how deeply you are loved by all of us around you. We can’t change the unpredictabilities of life or protect you the way a dad wants to shelter the little girl he cherishes more than anything. But we will walk with you through whatever comes. You are never alone.

I’m learning from you day after day. Thank you for teaching me. I love you.

Dad
