CONTENTS || Sale info | Final book printing | An important personal update.
Hi all.
I’m so glad you’re here. I know we all have a lot on our minds these days, so I will keep this as brief and as clear as I can.
My annual fall/holiday sale begins right here, right now.
- 40% off all poetry prints
- 25% off custom poems (limited space)
Discounts automatically apply at checkout, and will be active through end of day on November 1, 2023.
I am doing this instead of my usual holiday sale for a number of reasons. First, the chaos and noise of the holiday season is something I am loathe to add to. The extra time also allows me to open my queue up for additional custom poems, which I like to do when I can.
Finally, I am doing a final printing of my poetry book and I want to give y’all time to preorder now so I can have books to you in time for the holidays.
Preorders for the final printing of my poetry book, The Stories You Told, are open from today until end of day on Tuesday, October 24.
I have no more copies in stock currently, and I will not be purchasing any additional inventory, so this preorder will be your last chance to get your hands on a copy!
Orders placed now will be fulfilled as they come in. Please expect some delays, as I fulfill all my orders myself. If you preorder a book or order a custom poem, your order will be fulfilled when all elements are ready (expect early- to mid-December). If you need a part of your order early, please send an email to torri@notesontheway.com and we can arrange for that :)
A lot is changing for me these days.
It’s happening slowly and all at once. I am back in school and have my sights set on graduate programs next. My priorities as a writer are shifting and taking on new shapes, and while I absolutely love what I do with NOTESONTHEWAY, I don’t know how much longer I’ll be doing it the way I have been (i.e. selling prints, writing custom poetry, and working as a small business owner). I don’t mean this as a, “hurry, last chance, get your poetry prints fast” call to action—I am slow-moving and like to give everyone else space and time to move slowly too.
That said, looking to the horizon, I sense a change coming. As such, your orders this season feel especially significant to me. I am not sure what a last hurrah looks like or whether this might be mine (in this capacity). But I am embracing this season like it might be, trying to do this work especially mindfully and feeling incredibly thankful that y’all have allowed me to do what I do for so long. On a practical level, your poetry orders this season directly support me and my family as we look ahead to a future that is different and uncertain and possibly a bit thrilling.
I am not done writing. I am not done writing poetry or connecting through words with this community of wonderful, compassionate, artful people. I don’t anticipate this ending. But there are inevitably endings. Thank you so much to each of you who decides to stick with me for those endings to come, those new beginnings. I am grateful. Very grateful.
RECAP - DATES TO REMEMBER:
October 24: Final day to preorder The Stories You Told.
November 1: End of sale, 40% off prints and 25% off custom poems.
There is so much I’ve been working on in secret that I’m very excited to share with you in days to come. Please stick with me here on Substack—I love this community and am happy in your company. Sending you all my love.
